October 25th was a great day for everyone at Genova.
It marked the official ground-breaking.
Jim Wallace, joined by his partners, Andy Chelminski of Montreal (also a lifelong friend) and Brian Goguen of Barron Collier Companies in Naples along with Estero Mayor Nick Batos and the other members of the Estero Village Council plus about 50 others (mostly Genova buyers) gathered together for the Genova ground-breaking and to celebrate Estero’s first development within the new Estero Village Center.
Jim spoke briefly about his excitement for the beginning of construction, his many thanks to the Village of Estero, and reaffirmed Estero as a great place to live, work, and play.
My job was to hand out the golden shovels. Too bad they weren’t real gold.
Even though it was 10:30 in the morning a few attendees (again mostly Genova buyers) popped a few champagne corks.
If you haven’t seen the site yet, it’s on the corner of Corkscrew Road and Via Coconut Point Road.
The first of Genova’s 205 condo residences are scheduled to be finished next summer with the last ones by early 2019. The clubhouse is also scheduled for completion next year.
Thanks for reading this brief blog!
More info about the site work will be posted this Thursday. So stay tuned.
