Building Community into the Communities We Build
In 1990 two brothers, Jack and Jim Wallace, launched their first community, PIPER’S POINTE, a 240-unit lakefront condominium in Naples, Florida. Building must have been in their blood. Twenty-five years earlier their father, Joe Wallace, was a respected builder/developer in Naples.
After Piper’s Pointe, Jack retired but Jim had discovered a new passion…creating communities with attitude and vibrant lifestyle. In 1993 Jim transformed a tomato field into PIPER’S GROVE, the first low-density, multi-family, 100% lakefront, gated community in Naples with 388 condominium homes nestled around five lakes.
By 1997 Jim’s next gated community, CALUSA BAY, a lush lakefront community of 342 homes was built amongst the pines on an infill parcel. It was nationally recognized for its innovative design and focus on “neighborhood”.
In 2000, LIGHTHOUSE BAY at The Brooks broke the mold with the first waterfront, resort-lifestyle gated, community of 654 condos, coach homes and villas on 48 acres of lakes around a protected wildlife preserve, and a residents’ club with just about everything.
In 2005, Jim infused the coastal towns of the Italian Riviera into his next creation. RAPALLO at Coconut Point captured the true sense of place with 540 waterfront homes in Cinque Terra architecture, a beautiful resort-lifestyle club, parks and bronze sculpture, lakes and wildlife preserve and boardwalk all next door to the energy of Coconut Point Town Center.
Today…GENOVA continues the legacy of innovative residence and community design with 205 luxury condominiums and a private resort-lifestyle club set within a palette of 17th century Italianate courtyard buildings overlooking landscaped atriums and lakes.
