Have you driven down Via Coconut Point Road recently? If so, I’m sure you’ve noticed the first Genova condo building now has folks living there…the second Genova building is close to finished…and the third is now concrete and steel rising up 300 feet along the road.
But tucked away on the east side of the lake there’s another building coming to life and creating a lot of excitement among-st Genova residents and future residents. It’s the Club at Genova. Yes…the clubhouse is now under construction!
As you can see the beach=entry resort pool and 25-meter Olympic lap pool are almost complete and the clubhouse building footers, stem wall and underground plumbing, electrical and HVAC are in. It may not look like much today but hold on tight. You’re going to be swimming in the pool, working out, soaking up the sun and sipping a margherita catching the sunset before you know it.
The clubhouse overlooks the lake and was designed for Florida sunshine from dawn to dusk. It was also designed to bring neighbors together with a large club room, sun deck and a professional catering kitchen (like our last community Rapallo) so the Genova activities director can host events (think luncheons, dinners and dances) for up to 120 people.
Someone needs to host a holiday bash and invite me. I love parties.
One thing really cool… in the aerial photo above, you can see the clubhouse is actually being built “around” the Olympic lap pool. Why? Pretty simple…the lap pool is INDOORS and you can’t build an indoor pool later so they have to build it first. Sounds easy but it takes skilled folks like legendary pool designer/builder Chad Jackson of Jackson Pools to make it happen.
All this extra effort just so you can maintain your regimen of 50 lengths a day…your aqua fitness class or water volleyball twice a week. And so you can do it the shade or when it’s raining. Talk about being spoiled.
Had enough of the lap pool? Well, the good news is you can step out of the swimming atrium and walk 10 feet to work out in the fitness center (yes…on-staff trainer and latest equipment), get a massage, take a sauna or…you can walk 30 feet out onto the travertine marble sundeck and lay back on a comfy, cushioned chaise lounge to work on your tan or read the latest best seller. As I said you sure can get spoiled here. Think I need some of this.
I wonder if they ever have “Employee Days”? Don’t think so but I could ask.
That’s it! Hope you enjoyed my Club at Genova update. I’m super excited. So are the residents. If you have any questions on Genova call Debbi or Karen at (239) 948-2929.
